WENN reports that Keira Knightley wasn't at all shocked when she was asked to film a steamy sex scene. The thing is, this wasn't just any sex scene - it was written by her mother! Awkward, much? The scene was, of course, for The Edge of Love, which was written by her mother, Sharman Macdonald. Keira has taken a humorous apporach to it, as she does a lot of things in life. "She dared to put a sex scene in it. It didn't worry me that my mother knows what sex is,” she teased. “I had no hissy fits when she presented me with the scene." So when Sharman Macdonald presented a script which called for her daughter to act in the nude and have a hot sex scene, Knightley was unfazed. She jokes: “I was found under an apple tree. My mother is a virgin.” Gotta love her! |

Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller have spoken of the lengths that paparazzi went to for shots of them as they filmed The Edge of Love. The film - about the relationship between two free-spirited women who are both loved by poet Dylan Thomas - had photographers permanently stalking them on location. "In one of the scenes we couldn't use any of the sound because all you can here is clicking" - Keira KnightleyKnightley recalled: "We had one falling out of a tree, adding: "In one of the scenes we couldn't use any of the sound because all you can here is clicking. "There was a point when there were more photographers than crew and cast making the film, which is extraordinary." Directory John Maybury said that at one point, a boat full of paparazzi snapping the stars started sinking and emergency services had to be called. Their Irish co-star Cillian Murphy has previously spoken of how the women were stalked by photographers during filming, saying: "I totally admire them for putting up with it - if I walked out of my house every morning and there were 15 men waiting to photograph me, I couldn't do it." Meanwhile, much has been made in the press of Miller an Knightley's friendship, both on and off screen. The two have frequently been photographed laughing side-by-side on set and in public and Miller has spoken about the pair's new-found chumminess. Asked whether her friendship with her co-star helped the portrayal of the intense relationship between their characters, Miller said, "I think inevitably it did but you know, you meet people and you click and we just always got along really well and are similar in a lot of ways." She added: "And it's really nice to have someone who does the same thing and to be able to do scenes with another woman, I mean it's really rare that you have two strong female characters and, yeah, it's been great." I think this is sweet. Keira's mom is sticking up for her infamous little girl! Her mother is lashing out at the "playground bullies" who keep saying that Keira's anorexic. Sharman MacDonald told the U.K.'s Daily Mail that her beautiful daughter just has good genes - thanks to Knightley's dad. Sharman went on to say that her daughter has to "eat like a horse" to maintain a healthy weight. "She's always been thin. She's her daddy's daughter, with his long body." Keira told Britain's Elle magazine last year that she once visited a doctor to help put on weight. "He told me that for someone of my body type to get to a size 12, I would have to eat a lot of s--- food, stop exercising and drink loads," she said. "Basically, my body type is naturally thin. There is nothing I can do about it." Come on, "playground bullies," she's just one of the rare birds that can eat without packing on the pounds. I wish people didn't obsess over weight so much! |

 Just as we're settling down over the King Lear news, it's been announced that Keira Knightley will be taking on the remarkably popular role of Eliza Doolittle. The character was, of course, first played by the beautiful and talented Audrey Hepburn. I think Keira's going to fit this role beautifully! Keira has already signed on and the producers have Daniel Day Lewis at the top of their list of actors they want to play opposte Keira. |
